By 1444, astrology was starting to
become popular in Europe. The earliest Tarot cards and astrological
almanacs were beginning to appear in the medieval universities. The invention of the
printing press certainly helped to popularize
astrology. Also, the rediscovery of Aristotle and the other astrological
thinkers of classic times in their original Latin and Greek texts
after 1440 AD contributed to the growing interest in astrology.
Today there is hardly a newspaper printed in the United States
or Britain that does not have an astrology section.
