TIMELINE___________
Psychic Investigators
of the Sixties lived with political turmoil and
psychedelic drug
experimentation. As many young people
dropped out of colleges there was a decline of the growth of parapsychology.
J. B. Rhine and Pratt died in the fifties and parapsychologists had stopped
doing statistical studies. Psychic super stars like
Uri Geller
in the West and Ninel
Kulagina
in the Soviet Union were now being studied in the laboratory.
The pharmacological revolution led to many reports of out-of-the-body
experiences, hearing voices and
UFO
contacts. Many of these psychedelic investigators have become advocates of the New
Age of the eighties and nineties.
